Mick Rose - Pianist/Vocalist
Sample tracks to follow
Mick Rose is a versatile professional musician and singer with a wealth of experience playing at many different types of function in a variety of venues, including many top London hotels.
Mick has appeared on many UK radio broadcasts, several times playing and singing live on air. Most of these appearances have been for the BBC. One such appearance was with talented singer Lindsay Field as guests of celebrity disc jockey Dave Lee Travis who interviewed them at length; they also played three of their own songs live on air.
He has also worked as a support act for several well respected artists at various large concert venues in the UK. One such tour was with internationally famous singer/songwriter Paul Carrack, noted for his work with Ace, Squeeze and Mike & the Mechanics (including their hit ‘The Living Years’). Along with Lindsay, he has also been invited to support Joan Armatrading and Bill Wyman, among others.
Mick offers two options:
A Pianist / Vocalist: playing just a piano and singing with no additional backings. Mick would either play a ‘House’ piano or his own digital instrument. Using this set-up the music can be anything from subtle background music to stomping rock and pop. It also allows for maximum spontaneity.
A Keyboard / Vocalist: Playing keyboards (usually two) and singing. Additional backings would also be used making this set-up ideal for a dancing or listening audience.
In either case Mick can supply all the equipment he needs including keyboards, sound modules, an excellent sound system and, if required, stage lighting.
Along with Lindsay, he recently formed the ‘Night-Time’ Duo and they have worked in top quality venues throughout the UK. The set up is similar to his solo work, but with the addition of Lindsay’s beautiful singing voice.
